Estanterías Simón collaborates with the SOS Children's Village of Villamayor, a program that offers a family environment to children and young people who for one reason or another cannot continue living with their parents.
Five to six children of different ages (mainly sibling groups) live in a family home with a responsible caregiver (SOS mother). Between six and ten homes, similar in structure but different in layout and decor, make up an SOS Children's Village. It also has recreational spaces (playground, sports area, multipurpose room, etc.). The SOS Children's Villages methodology centers on the home and fostering a family environment to promote the well-being and holistic development of the children.
